We are just over half way through our period of alumni activities in China and East Asia.
Shanghai saw an unprecedented response from our alumni, with record numbers attending the event.
Hong Kong was much the same story and around 60 alumni turned up for our event on Thursday evening.
It was great to see such a mixed demographic of people at the event, all engaging with the University and reminiscing over their time in Scotland.
An important part of our alumni activity wherever we go is to make sure that we engage alumni from a variety of different backgrounds.
We encourage our alumni to stay in touch with the University and hope that everyone can do their bit to promote our teaching, research excellence and the Edinburgh student experience around the world.
We met some fantastic people in Hong Kong, from recent graduates to established and leading business contacts in the region. We were also delighted that a few current University of Edinburgh students currently undertaking a year abroad here in Hong Kong were able to join us.
It’s always a pleasure to provide the opportunity for alumni to come together and celebrate both the University and their time in Edinburgh.
